It’s fantastic. Been looking for ages for a portable fridge freezer.

Went to the camping and caravanning show at nec Birmingham and did not expect to see one of these. I have been looking for ages but the ones I found all had drawbacks. This one has everything you could want. Multi functional. The family run company gave excellent service and answered every question. It’s all plugged in in my shed for a trial and it’s fantastic. What's in the box?

You will receive your TFX50 fridge/freezer along with a Totalfreeze AC adapter, a Totalfreeze 12V lead, an AC mains lead (UK & EU) and a user guide.

Will the TFX50 run my battery flat?

No, the unit has a built-in battery protection system that will cut out at 9.5 volts always leaving you enough power to start the engine.

How long will the TFX50 run on a caravan / motorhome battery?

Depending on the size of the battery and the setting around 20 – 30 hours on average.

How long will the TFX50 run on my car battery?

Again, depending on the size of the battery and the mode setting around 12 – 15 hours on average.
(The above can be worked out by dividing the wattage of the battery by the wattage used per hour. A 600-watt battery divided by 45 watts an hour would last 13.3 hours).

How long will the TFX50 run off the Totalpower 600?

Around 30 – 35 hours depending on the mode setting and ambient temperature.

How long will it take for the TFX50 to reach -20 degrees?

Around 20 – 30 minutes depending on ambient temperature.

Does it matter what the ambient temperature is?

No, the compressor will just work harder to reach the desired temperature and may take slightly longer.

Is the TFX50 noisy?

No and the compressor works intermittently so when the compressor is not on there is no sound at all.

How much does the TFX50 weigh?

The TFX50 weighs 16 kg.

Is the TFX50 tough?

Yes it is made out of the highest quality polypropylene.

Totalfreeze 55 Portable Fridge Freezer

Very good

We are very happy with the panels however there is one thing that really bothers us. Moving the panel around becomes so difficult because the support legs spring back and attach to the Velcro. I need another arm/hand to be able to pull them out and stand the panel up. I’ll get two out and reach for the third one and first one jumps back onto the Velcro. It’s a real pain. So tomorrow we are going to remove the velcro and hope that it makes it easier.

TF-Xtreme 50 Portable Fridge Freezer

Tried and tested

I was keen to find a unit that could run a fridge for a long weekend.
I have purchased the set that contains 600 battery pack 100 W solar panel and the 55 fridge freezer.
I have to say, I have been blown away by the results
The battery pack was able to run the fridge for 52 hours. This was partially full unopened 5 ish time per day at 3 degrees.
This was without the solar panel, so I look forward to adding this into the mix.
